About Our Dojo

We are a Manchester based Karate club. Our karate is based on a traditional Japanese Karate called Goju Ryu, meaning hard and soft.

Our founder is Miyagi Chojun (Goju-Ryu Founder). If the name sounds familiar that’s because the film Karate Kid was based on him.

Although we don’t do wax on and wax off exactly, some of the techniques are still used today.
